| Whether you interpret the name as Instant Message from offline or "I'm offline", this script still has the same function: protecting you from accidental use of the new offline instant messaging features introduced in Windows Live Messenger 8. IMoffline asks you to confirm sending an instant message if your status is set to appear offline. It is designed to remind people who sign in with the status appear offline that they are still appearing offline, and to remind people that whilst appearing offline any contact they send a message to will know that they are actually online. How to use this script: - Make sure you have Windows Live Messenger and Messenger Plus! Live installed. - Download the script, open it, accept the warning and press Import. - Choose a setting from the "IMoffline" option in the scripts menu (in the contact list or a conversation window). - Open a conversation window when you status is set to "appear offline". - Depending on the setting you have chosen a confirmation window will be shown when you try and send a message. |
