| !hangman is a game that uses text-based commands to allow multiple players to guess a word or phrase. The game is targeted at all MSN users as most contacts are unlikely to have Messenger Plus! Live installed on their machine. Accordingly, it has been configured so that any number of users can use the full functionality of the script whether the host is actively participating or not, so the game can continue between multiple contacts even with the host away. The following commands are available for use: ALWAYS AVAILABLE: !start hangman - alerts all contacts that hangman games can now be played in the window, tells them the basic starting command (!set hangman). !stop hangman - stops hangman commands from being used. !commands hangman - displays a list of all available commands (as below) ONLY AVAILABLE AFTER !START HANGMAN HAS BEEN USED: !set hangman <answer> - sets the answer and sends a message telling users that the answer has been set. answer is the user-specified answer your opponent is trying to guess. Answer is displayed in format *****_****! with all common punctuation shown clearly (!?():,.-_ and space). Spaces are rendered as underscores in the displayed answer for clarity. !guess <A> - guesses a single letter. A is the user-specified letter that the user wishes to guess. !guessall <answer> - guesses the whole answer. answer is the user-specified answer you wish to guess. How to use this script: - Make sure you have Live Messenger and Messenger Plus! Live installed. - Download the script, open it, accept the warning and press Import. - Open a conversation window. - Type one of the available commands above. |
