This is a small script, which I made for myself to carry out a few extra functions.

I am aware that similar has been done before, but I found these scripts very feature heavy, and provided far too many functions which I found useless (I am a man of simple pleasures). If you're looking for more functions to play with I suggest you check out LiTHiUM's 'MSN to XBMC' and 'XBMC Now Playing' scripts.

Functions in this script are as follows:

Message Notifications - XBMC will recieve a notification whenever somebody sends you a message which opens a new conversation window (first message only - similar to MSN's first message toast alert)

Sign-on Notifications - XBMC will recieve a notification whenever somebody on your contact list signs in.

Show what I'm listening to - Your media message will show the music you are listening to on your XBox, in the same way as it shows music from within Windows Media Player (This requires you have "Show what I'm listening to" checked in your MSN settings.

Album Art - Your Display Picture will be changed to the Album art of whatever you're listening to on your XBox.

Each of these functions can be enabled or disabled at choice from the Plus! script menu.

XBMC must have the Web Server enabled for any functions to work. Also note that the Album art uses FTP connection to get the images, so FTP server must also be running, and the user/pass must be xbox/xbox. I will change this later, if anyone needs such.

Thanks to -dt- for creating his script to change Messenger media, so that the "Show what I'm listening to" function works properly, instead of using a PSM.

Included in the zip file is the Plus Script installer (XBMC Script.plsc) and and image for the XBox notifications (MSN.png). To use the image it should be placed in the XBMC directory 'Q/UserData/Thumbnails/Icons/'

Updates Include…
Received message notifications now show the contacts Display picture in XBMC popup
Received messages have all occurrences of “,” replaced with “;” to prevent XBMC popup issues.
Sign-in Notifications now show the contacts name rather than email address.
Preferences now have an Upload button to automatically put MSN.png on Xbox via FTP.

I hope you enjoy the script.
